Get the look - Noticeable Necklaces

This week the fashion crowd has taken a, mostly virtual, trip to London for the next stop in this year's rather odd fashion month. Whereas New York was largely digital with a few select catwalks, a lot of London designers, such as Simona Rocha, chose to use one of the capital's many art galleries, in this case the Savile-Row located Hauser + Wirth, to display the clothes on models who remained static allowing the guests to move around them in a covid-compliant fashion.

Burberry took a typically "Burberry" approach by staging their show in a forest, in the middle of the English countryside, which it then live streamed. The show was divised in conjunction with award-winning German artist Anne Imhof who creates spectacles that The Guardian's associate fashion editor Jess Cartner-Morley described as "performance-meets-endurance [that] tends toward barking dobermans and high chain-link fences, half-naked bodies choreographed in frenzy or frozen into intense, snarling eye contact." Needless to say it wasn't for everyone.

What was for everyone was necklaces – either super chunky or lots of them layered together. New York might have opted for enormous earrings but the Brits were all about the neckwear. Victoria Beckham pared barely-there slips with chains that could double as anchors, while Vivienne Westwood went for her trademark maximalist approach because too much is never enough.
