The first post-corona fashion week has taken place in New York City. Most designers migrated to digital, which saw the likes of ADEAM – the New-York-based, Japanese-inspired brand founded by Hanako Maeda – streaming from an eerily tourist-free Tokyo. Those who did show IRL, such as Jason Wu, used creative staging – Wu recreated his Tulum, his home away from home, complete with a boardwalk as catwalk, palm trees and sand – to keep people socially distanced in style.

While the clothing trends moved from eyewateringly vibrant prints at Tom Ford to skater culture at Imitation of Chris, one jewellery trend held sway. The bigger the earring the better.
