About

When your childhood coincides with the halcyon days of the pop art scene in New York, your parents are Mick and Bianca Jagger and you taught Andy Warhol how to play Monopoly when you were four, chances are you’re not going to become an accountant. Creativity has always been at the heart of Jade Jagger’s life. She started out as an artist in the late 1980s, after studying art in Florence, before turning her hand to one-of-a-kind jewellery pieces. These caught the eye of Asprey & Garrard and she spent seven years there as creative director, dragging the revered but ever-so-slightly stuffy fine jeweller into the 21st century. In the interim years, Jagger has turned her hand to designing everything from living spaces to bottle labels for Croix de Beaucaillou, one of Bordeaux’s greatest wines. She also dabbled in clothing design. However, she’s now returned to fine jewellery with her bold designs, which seem to exist on an intersection between modernity and antiquity, take traditional Indian materials and styles and rework them for the contemporary customer.
